Prepping for decoupaging

I am at long last starting another DIY project. More detalils about what and how to come but for now I'll stick to saying it's going to be decoupaging an IKEA table.
First step is obviously to chose a pattern. I've chosen napkins because the options out there are many. So the first thing I did was to head over to Søstrene Grene (sostrenegrene.com) which is a mekka for napkins. This is what I came out with. Now which one to chose?

I have to say I'm leaning towards the far right one, because it's got the beautiful font saying "Garden of roses" which I would like to use as well. Maybe I should combine some of the flowers as well?

Which one would you use if you were decoupaging? Let me know!

Nothing to do with decoupaging but Søstrene Grene also has lots of pretty cupcake cases, so I just had to pick up a few more, even if I have about half a drawer full at home. But LOOK at them! They're sooo cute! I'll be baking cupcakes until Christmas  methinks... :)

Let's talk about lamps, baby

Hope you've had a good summer. Gosh. is it really coming to an end soon!?! It's pitch black at 11 pm now, simply awful!

So I'm still preocupied with illness in the family and have to put pretty much everything else on hold, but I do try to make some plans in between. The past week lamps in particular has been my main focus.

I mentioned earlier that one of my fave interior shops carry the most beautiful crystal table lamps from Casa Nova. They're not the cheapest brand in the world and the lamp I have my eye on is NOK 1,400. I've been browsing similar ones online because they are so PRETTYYYYY!!

However. luckily for me the one I am set on is cheaper  than these AND I think it's even prettier! 

I am also planning on re-doing my bedroom sometime in the not too distant future. I'd like the walls to be teal and the interior white (look out IKEA). But when thinking about bedside tables, I've been imagining something with a white and blue ceramic or porcelain foot. Something like these:

But then I walked by this one completely by accident the last week. It's at one of my local lamp stores. Christiania Belysning, it's called Sing and it's currently NOK 499. And I think it would do just nicely.

Fingers crossed that the store carries this one when I finally get around to doing my bedroom!
