So I went to Venice, Italy for the very first time the week before Easter. And it was an amazing trip. What a fantastic city! It's unlike any other town I've ever been to before and it's JUST like in pictures and in the movies. Allow me to show you:
The beauty that is the Grande Canal that goes straight through the city. Our hotel was right by this canal, next to the Rialto bridge.
Our daily pre-lunch drink at Piazza San Marco in the sunshine - an Aperol Spritz for my mother and a Rossini (crushed strawberries and Prosecco) for me.

Even the Italian pigeons eat pizza for lunch!

I had fruit salad for dessert one evening, Surprisingly enough I didn't feel as healthy as I expected...

In conclusion: If you get a chance to go there, DO! It's a winner! :o))))
